Located just South of Wooster, Ohio, I am excited to begin this adventure on our generational property.  

Welcome to Blossom and Bee Stems! I'm Bernadette, a wife and mother to three, as well as mama to a very helpful lab, Gunner, who you will frequently see offering his services around the farm-usually with anything involving water! I am also a practicing Physician Assistant

Flowers are a source of joy, and sharing bouquets to celebrate you and the ones you love is a true blessing.  I've loved being in the garden since I can remember, and throughout life, flowers have always been a constant passion.  

 It was my mother who first drew me into their beauty with her perennial beds. When my husband and I were first married, we lived in Brooklyn, Ny, while I was in PA school.  The coursework and clinicals where high stress, and we were a long way from Ohio.  There was a a farmers market just down the street each Saturday, and I would pick up a small bouquet of the most gorgeous, coral dahlias from a local farm vendor.  The feeling of having those blooms displayed in our tiny apartment (as in less than 400 square feet!) brought so much joy while navigating a very stressful time.  They were a small luxury that were worth far more in what they provided than the cost.  I've loved dahlias ever since.  Flowers will eventually wilt and fade, yes, but the feeling they evoke and the message they communicate lasts far beyond their vase life.  In my job as a healthcare provider I regularly talk with patients about health and well-being.  Research has shown and I've witnessed first hand, the impact fresh flowers have on our mood. Out of the garden I am writing a new prescription that has no side effects other than beauty and joy!
